Biesse supports Banco Alimentare and Caritas

The collaboration between Biesse and two prestigious foundations, such as Banco Alimentare and Caritas, which actively take care of people in need, allows the Group to promote a sustainable dimension of synergy among the territory’s institutions and company, demonstrating that together we can create and maintain great projects.
 
Indeed, it’s thanks to the active contribution given by Banco Alimentare and Caritas, that the uneaten food in the company canteen at the Biesse Campus in Pesaro can be recovered, according to a project inspired by circular economy models, reducing waste and restoring value to foods that otherwise would be lost.
 
Banco Alimentare collects hot meals, bread, sweets, fruit and vegetables from the company canteen three times a week and, thanks to its volunteers, distributes them on the territory in the same day, offering concrete and constant support to needy people.
 
Furthermore, thanks to a constant relationship with the Group, Caritas collects the unconsumed food from the canteen every day, supporting the “Casa Tabanelli”, a center of first reception located in Pesaro, offering the daily meal to the guests of the center.
 
This project is part of a sustainability path undertaken by the Group, developed in full awareness of the ethical and social responsibility towards all the Stakeholders and the territory, with the aim of actively contributing to the distribution of widespread well-being.
