Biesse with Indexlab and Wood-Skin at Technology Hub exhibition
Biesse is partner of Indexlab and Wood-Skin at Technology Hub exhibition, from 20 to 22 April at Mico - Fiera Milano City.
The project involved is ARCHES, a complex three-dimensional organic volume that invites visitors to explore it at 360 degrees. It is a pavilion designed by INDEXLAB and realized in WOOD-SKIN material, a system which allows to realize complex geometries through flat elements, cheap and easy to install.
The work is characterized by three vertical elements, curvilinear columns melted together into a single object that combine themselves to distinguish the faceted work through inclined ramifications. In this way, both visual and spatial perceptions about the object change varying the point of observation. The structure, three meters high with a footprint on the ground of about 4x4 meters, is composed of 202 different two-dimensional elements in WOOD-SKIN material, assembled each other with hidden bolted connections.
The challenge, to be win through technology, is shaping complex geometries thanks of a technological system composed only of two-dimensional elements: these are features that make WOOD-SKIN an innovative product for architecture and world surfaces complex. A product made using Biesse technologies.
