Carlo Bo Urbino University conferred Giancarlo Selci the prestigious Sigillo di Ateneo.
On July 27th 2021, Giancarlo Selci, Biesse Founder and President, was awarded the prestigious Sigillo di Ateneo, the highest honor of Urbino University.
“Born in 1936 in Pesaro, Giancarlo Selci, by operating in the dynamic territory of Pesaro that offered many other examples of entrepreneurship, was one of the main actors of our country renaisseance. With courage, dedication and a unique passion for his work, Selci has brilliantly marked the way that brought Italian technology among the most prestigious brands chosen by the most important representatives of Italian and international design. The constant commitment showed since he was fifteen is founded on a continuous research looking for innovation, an approach that transformed his company into a multinational capable of meeting the needs coming from a new perception of work. Along his career Selci has been rewarded with many personal honors: Cavaliere and Italian Republic Ufficiale al merito, he was also conferred the title of Cavaliere del Lavoro. He also obtained an Honoris causa Degree in Businiess and Economics in 2007”. This is the motive behind Carlo Bo Urbino University decision to confer him also the Sigillo d’Ateneo honor.
